Already renowned for its luxurious hotels and resorts, The Ritz-Carlton is not stopping innovating with luxury stays. In collaboration with Oaktree Capital Management, Douglas Prothero and Lars Clasen, the award-winning brand has announced its entry into the luxury yacht and cruises market with The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection.

Looking to serve luxury travellers, the series offer a combination of yachting and cruising—grand yet intimate and lavish. The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection will also be the first luxury sea accommodation managed by hotelier Marriott International. The specially designed small-capacity vessel measures a mere 190 metres but will accommodate up to 298 passengers in its 149 balcony-kitted rooms. Held to the high Ritz-Carlton standard, every suite is jointly designed by leading cruise ship design firm Tillberg Design of Sweden.

As the size is rather boutique compared with other cruise ships, the new boat will be able to visit ports that most have to pass up like Capri, St. Barts and Cartagena. The first ship will cruise a wide variety of destinations depending on the season, including the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, the Caribbean and Latin America. The second ship (set to sail in 2021) will follow a similar route, although the third is planned to explore routes in the South Pacific.

Dining and spas

The Ritz-Carlton yachts will feature a restaurant by Sven Elverfeld of Aqua, Wolfsburg and Panorama Lounges, and a wine bar, offering a wide variety of dining options. The signature Ritz-Carlton spa, outdoor infinity pool, and a water-toy launch pad at the stern are just a few of the of the on-board entertainment facilities that will keep you busy.

Additionally, the yacht will offer one-of-a-kind curated destination journeys through collaborations with local chefs, musicians and artists, allowing guests to experience the locations in unique and experiential ways, both onboard and ashore.

Reservations will open in May 2018. The ships in The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection will also available for private charter. For more information, visit
