Can you believe it’s July already? As the fashion industry is gearing up for the annual spring/summer fashion weeks, this month should be quite entertaining with the start of smaller yet equally stimulating fashion shows followed by brand campaigns and, of course, our weekly style guide. Style Guide: Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge in Bulgari
A|X Armani Exchange Fall/Winter’17 New Campaign
A|X Armani Exchange has unveiled its new Fall/Winter ad campaign. Employing three distinct personalities, from British actress and model Cara Delevingne, DJ dutch Martin Garrix, and Chinese singer Li Yifeng. Shot by Sabine Villard, the new ad features the letters A and X of the brand’s logo disassembled and used with an inventive and surprising ductile irreverence to become props and games in the hands of the protagonists, such as magnifying glasses, vinyl records, rubber balls, pirate patches, and light bulbs.
Balmain’s Fall/Winter ’17 New Campaign
The Creative Director of Balmain Olivier Rousteing paid homage to his favourite city, Paris, in the brand’s latest fall/winter ad campaign. Shot by Olivier himself, the new campaign comes in a series of monochrome images with the streets of Paris as the backdrop. The ad also featured stunning models like Lara Stone, Presley Gerber, Grace Bol, Natasha Poly and Brazilian model Marlon Teixeira.
J.W. Anderson x Uniqlo First Look
Remember when we informed you that J.W. Anderson is teaming up with Japanese retail store, Uniqlo? The fashion brand has recently unveiled its first look consisting of 33 pieces inspired by the designer’s British and Irish heritages. The new pieces include Fair Isle sweaters, cable knits, highland tartans and rugby stripes combined with Uniqlo’s signature materials and fabrics. The collection offers 14 men’s and 19 women’s pieces and will be available online on September 21st.
Moschino X Sephora
Moschino teamed up with makeup brand Sephora for a limited-edition of teddy-bear shaped makeup collection comprising of eyeshadow palette, golden brush set, lip gloss and highlighter compact along mini eyeshadow palette. The seven-piece teddy bear collection will be available online in August, and aimed to be a product of entry for younger fashion fans since it’s rumoured to be priced under $70. Smart move? We'd think so.

Louis Vuitton’s Fall/Winter Campaign
Louis Vuitton has unveiled a new video campaign for its Women’s Fall/Winter 2017 collection and it’s a star-studded one! Filmed by veteran photographer Bruce Webber, the new clip entitled ‘Series 7’ brought together Jaden Smith, Sophie Turner and Riley Keough, among other models, in a campaign that the brand dubbed as “on a nomadic journey into the future”. The ad showcased the brand’s collection, such as structured skirts, cargo pants and on-those-beautiful clutches!
Fashion house Gucci recently revealed that it will launch a line-up of furniture and decorative pieces designed by its Creative Director Alessandro Michele. The new Gucci Décor is set to personalize home spaces, featuring the House’s design motifs, patterns and codes and will be available in September in selected Gucci stores, or you can shop them online at www.gucci.com.
Jason Wu New Fragrance
Taiwanese fashion designer Jason Wu has recently unveiled his namesake new fragrance. Set to hit the stores in August, the new fragrance features jasmine sambac, peonies and lilies. The campaign of Jason Wu fragrance is being fronted by supermodel Lily Aldrige and was shot by Dutch photographer duo Inez and Vinoodh.
Givenchy’s Fall Ad
Givenchy’s new creative director Clare Waight Keller, who became the first female designer for the brand, unveiled her first look for the fall campaign. Shot in black and white by photographer Steven Meisel, the ad campaign featured models like Saffron Vadher and Elias Bouremah who were seen wearing black lace top, black trouser and adorable black cat wearing Givenchy collars.

The Iron Man star was spotted donning Givenchy’s black grain de poudre suit with red bands and black cotton tee shirt with red printed star at the premiere of Spider-Man: Homecoming premiere in Hollywood. The outfit was taken from the fashion brand’s Fall/Winter 2017 collection.
Fendi x Tae Yang
Italian maison Fendi has tapped K-Pop star Tae Yang for a special capsule collection titled “Fendi For Young Bae”. The collection will comprise jackets, T’s, backpacks, pouches, sneakers and key charms, fusing the K-Pop star’s style with the Italian house’s fall/winter 2017 collection. The capsule collection will debut in Hong Kong on July 27 in conjunction with the brand’s boutique re-opening in the country.
Giorgio Armani’s Privé Fall/Winter ‘17
Giorgio Armani unveiled its Privé fall/winter 2017 collection during Paris Haute Couture week. Entitled “Mystery”, the fashion show featured enhanced silhouettes of sophisticated cuts and refined embellishments as seen in dresses, suits, skirts and trousers that are made of sheer materials, boasting bright colours and sometimes pale hues worn with wacky hats. The Privé collection was dedicated to the late Italian Vogue editor-in-chief Franca Sozzani.
Chanel’s Fall/Winter ‘17
Chanel debuted its fall/winter 2017 collection during Paris Haute Couture week. Held at The Grand Palais, which was recreated to resemble Chanel Tower, the show presented 64 looks from legendary designer Karl Lagerfeld. The looks consist of coats, skinny jackets worn with Chanel canotier hats, and matched with ankle boots. The materials, as always, exude glamour and Parisian chic ranging from tweed, faille and satin, while the front row was packed with A-list stars that included Katy Perry, Tilda Swinton, Sofia Coppola and Kristen Stewart.
Rodarte’s Spring/Summer ‘18
For the first time, the Mulleavy sisters showcased their brand Rodarte’s spring/summer collection in the French capital during the Paris Haute Couture week. The florally flushed collection featured abstract cuts and floral elegance in dots and bright prints, flowy designs, and embellishments that start from pearls to feathers adorned in tulle dresses, leather jackets, chiffon dress and jumpsuit. Meanwhile, models walked the runway with flower crowns and shawls on them. The dreamy and whimsical show received a much-deserved standing ovation that was held at Cloître Port Royal garden.
